I’m sure they won’t be happy with this review being posted, but we felt we should post this so people know the truth about the hotel, especially when you have to encounter people smoking right as you walk up. We have stayed at over 250 hotels in our lifetime (many different brands), and we are a Best Western Diamond member, and this is in the worst top three for sure, maybe the worst ever we’ve stayed at. Otherwise I would rate this 1 out of 5, 0 if I could, or 1 out of 100, and the 1 only because they accepted the package for us. The only positive thing I can say is they did let us have a package shipped there that we needed, so they accepted that and gave it to us when we checked in. We didn’t use the pool or eat breakfast there so I can’t comment on that either, but the breakfast area looked really small. It seems that this Best Western has really gone down hill since COVID. The GM could really benefit from some additional training to help his customer service and management skills…might also help the quality of this hotel. I had to escalate this higher up to even get anything done because he obviously couldn’t or didn’t want to.
I asked to talk to the GM and he said he was the GM. Front desk guy Rajesh seems to care less when reporting the dirtiness of the room to him and he didn’t even apologize for it and said he can’t change anything. We didn’t take a shower or use any of the bath linens so I can’t comment on the quality of the bath towels. In the bedroom, there is barely enough room to squeeze between the window and the air conditioner unit, and there was barely room for all of us in the hotel room…terrible design. Their largest room is the size of the smallest room at a Homewood suites or Omni hotel. The room was small for a family, and we got the biggest room they had (Apparently). The pillows are the worst I’ve ever felt, like they were from the 1800’s before real pillows were created. The night person seems to hate her job and doesn’t even greet you when you walk in unless you walk up to her and interrupt her on her cell phone, then she acknowledges you. And try to use a black/UV light on the room, see what you find. The room was not clean, “debris” left around the room that was not cleaned by housekeeping, and brown residue was still in the toilet, we had to re-clean the room ourselves since the front desk person didn’t care staff not friendly. They promote themselves as an upscale hotel even though they are a lower scale sub-par hotel. They should relocate the smoking area elsewhere, like down at the other end of the parking lot, or down the street so guests don’t have to smell it. I get that people think they have to smoke, but c’mon, right by the front?…Gross. What a disgusting thing to have to smell, especially when we have kids with us…eww. Their smoking section is right at the front door so you unfortunately get to smell all the people smoking pot and/or cigarettes right as you drive up. This is a terrible hotel for many reasons (in my opinion).
